How hotels are covered
Every fact on a hotel page comes from a source you could check yourself, and every page says when it was last checked.
Which hotels are covered
Every hotel on Tenerife that Expedia sells and that is open, with Expedia’s photographs of it. Hotels cannot pay to be included, and the order of a list is never a ranking.
Sources
Facts are read from the hotel’s own website first, then from official sources such as the Cabildo de Tenerife’s register of tourist accommodation. Review sites and booking sites are used to find questions, not answers: a drawback only appears under “The catch” when a primary source supports it, and each one links to that source.
Prices
A “from” price is the lowest rate Expedia showed for two adults on a real, bookable date, as an average per night, including taxes. Most were read for May 2027; where a hotel required a longer stay, for seven nights, and where it had no rooms in May, for seven nights in November 2026. The date and the number of nights are printed under every price. English pages show pounds as Expedia showed them; other languages show euros at the European Central Bank rate on the date given. A hotel with no rate on those dates shows no price rather than an estimate.
Drive times
Drive times to Tenerife South and Tenerife North airports are routed on OpenStreetMap data with free-flowing traffic. Allow longer at busy times. Walking times to beaches are the hotel’s own figures unless a page says otherwise.
Classification
Star ratings are the official Canary Islands classification: stars for hotels, keys for apartments, as listed in the Cabildo’s register or by the hotel. Rural and emblematic hotels are classified differently and are shown as such, which says nothing about quality.
Photographs
Hotel photographs are from Expedia, through the Expedia Group Travel Creator Program. Photographs of places are from Wikimedia Commons, credited with their licence.
