Getting there

Tenerife South (TFS) is close: about 15 minutes by road to Golf del Sur and San Blas, and a little more to Costa del Silencio and Las Galletas. Taxis from outside arrivals are the quickest option. TITSA buses link the area with the airport and Los Cristianos, though a change is often needed. From Tenerife North (TFN) allow about an hour.

Beaches

This coast is mostly rock, small coves and shingle rather than long sandy bays. Las Galletas has an urban beach of pebbles and fine dark sand beside the fishing harbour, with lifeguards in summer, sunbeds and a diving area. Around Golf del Sur the shore has small pebble and black sand beaches. Most hotels lean on their own pools.

Good to know

Golf is the obvious draw, with two courses side by side. La Marina San Miguel offers water sports and diving, and the coast walks are good: Montaña Amarilla, a protected volcanic cone by the sea, and the San Blas reserve are close. Las Galletas has a seafront promenade and fish restaurants, and the protected Malpaís de Rasca is nearby.
