The town sits on the slopes above the south coast, away from the resorts, and the hotel takes its name from the old crossroads that shaped village life here.

Rooms keep their Canarian character, with wooden floors and ceilings and private bathrooms. Breakfast is a continental buffet, and the restaurant serves traditional Canarian dishes alongside the house's own local wines. Tenerife South airport (TFS) is about 10 minutes away, the south coast beaches about 15 minutes and Mount Teide about 30 minutes, so it works well as a quiet base for exploring by car. It suits couples and walkers who prefer a village feel to a resort.
