On our lists

Mediterranean Palace is a 535-room five-star hotel on the seafront of Playa de las Américas, a few steps from Playa del Camisón. It forms part of a larger complex with the Sir Anthony and Cleopatra Palace hotels, so there is plenty to share, from a seawater spa to a gym and a beach club.

The centrepiece is a circular pool of about 1,255 square metres, heated all year and watched by lifeguards, with a children's pool and splash park beside it. Club Mare Kids covers 675 square metres, takes children from six months in age groups and is included in the stay. Meals centre on The Pier, a buffet with show cooking, while the Coal grill and Diabolo for pasta and pizza add à la carte dinners. Bed and breakfast, half board and all inclusive are all available. It suits families who want the beach, a big pool and proper childcare in one place.

The catch at Mediterranean Palace

  • Dinner at the Coal and Diabolo restaurants needs booking and is only included on half-board or all-inclusive stays of five nights or more. Source
