The Salmar is an adults-only hotel, from 16, right on the coastline at Golf del Sur, and all 129 rooms face the sea. Choices run from Sea Front doubles to terrace rooms, suites with outdoor bathtubs and The Shores swim-up rooms, which open onto a private heated pool. Higher floors give the widest views along the coast.

The main pool is heated above 24°C all year, and a solarium on the fourth floor has a warm outdoor jacuzzi and a sauna, free for guests, with massages on request. Breakfast is a buffet in The Dining Room, The Sunroom serves sharing plates and cocktails by the pool, and Camarote de Brasa y Mar focuses on local produce cooked over the grill. Playa de San Blas is about five minutes' walk. It suits couples who want a calm, stylish base near the airport.
