Puerto de la CruzAlua Tenerife is a large four-star on the west side of Puerto de la Cruz, about five minutes' walk from the black sand and gardens of Playa Jardín. The 25,000 m² hotel was fully renovated in 2021 and is part of the Alua brand.
It is set up for easy, sociable holidays. There are two pools, one for adults and one for children, a buffet restaurant and a bar, and an entertainment programme runs during the day and into the evening. A gym, free Wi-Fi and on-site parking round things off. From here you can walk along the seafront into the old town and its harbour, and Loro Parque is close by. It suits families, groups of friends and couples who want a lively, practical base by the beach in the north of the island.
