Arona Gran Hotel is an adults-only 4-star from Spring Hoteles, set on the seafront in Los Cristianos, with the promenade leading straight into town and the port. Guests must be 16 or over, and most of its 391 rooms have full or partial sea views. It feels grown up without being stiff.
On the ground floor, two pools and a jacuzzi sit on the main sun terrace, with one pool heated through the year. Book an UP room or suite and you also get the rooftop, with an infinity pool, a glass pool, a jacuzzi and wide views over the bay. The Thalasso Spa offers a circuit and treatments, and the gym is free. Las Vistas serves buffet breakfast and dinner, Jarea is the à la carte choice and Aguaviva covers snacks. It is a calm base for couples and friends who like to stroll into town along the sea.
There is no hotel car park; free street parking nearby depends on availability. Tenerife South (TFS) is about 20 minutes by car, and the hotel offers a paid shuttle.
