Catalonia Punta del Rey is a large 4-star resort on the seafront avenue at Las Caletillas, in Candelaria on Tenerife's east coast. Santa Cruz is 14 km up the coast and Tenerife North (TFN) is 21 km away, so it suits people who would rather have a real Canarian town around them than a purpose-built resort strip.
The pools are the heart of the place: a big central pool with its own bar, an infinity pool facing the sea for all-inclusive guests aged 16 and over, and a seafront jacuzzi deck for Premium all-inclusive guests aged 18 and over. Playa de Las Caletas and the La Caletilla natural pool are about two minutes on foot. Evenings run from a buffet with themed dinners to a show bar, a mini disco and a nightclub, and days can be filled with the gym, aquagym, yoga, beach volleyball and the rest of the activity programme.
