Hotel Don Manolito is a three-star with 79 rooms on Calle Doctor Madan, in the lower part of Puerto de la Cruz. The beach and the little fishing pier are about 350 metres away, and the cafés and squares of the old town are on the doorstep, so you can leave the car behind.
The pool, heated in the winter months, sits among sun loungers and umbrellas, with a snack bar that serves drinks and simple dishes from mid morning until late. A buffet restaurant handles breakfast and dinner, and there is a gym, a pay-per-use sauna and table tennis. Rooms come as doubles, triples and premium doubles opening onto the solarium, many with a balcony or terrace looking over the garden, Teide or the Atlantic. Dogs up to 15 kg are welcome, which makes it a rare easy choice for travellers who bring theirs.
