Hotel Sun Holidays is a small one-star with 25 rooms on Calle La Peñita, a pedestrian street about 300 metres from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. Playa Jardín is about five minutes away and Loro Parque roughly 15 minutes on foot, or a ride on the free tourist train.
It keeps things simple and friendly. Every room faces outwards and has a balcony, and the choice runs from singles to triples, quadruples and a studio apartment, which is handy for families and groups of friends. The sun terrace has views over the sea and the mountains, and there is free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. There is no restaurant, so breakfast and dinner happen in the cafés and restaurants a few steps away, which in this part of town is part of the fun. It suits budget-minded families, couples and independent travellers who will be out most of the day.
Free public parking is close by, with no private parking. Baby cots are free. Pets are accepted but must not be left alone in rooms or taken into shared areas.
