Hotel Tropical is a three-star with 35 studios on Calle Puerto Viejo, right beside Plaza del Charco, the lively main square of Puerto de la Cruz. The harbour beach, Playa del Muelle, is about 200 metres away, Playa Jardín and San Telmo are around ten minutes on foot and the bus station is about five.
Every studio sleeps one or two and has its own kitchen, bathroom, TV and free Wi-Fi, so you can cook when you want and eat out in the square when you do not. On the roof, the pool and solarium look out over the ocean and the town. A buffet breakfast is served each morning, reception is open around the clock and a lift serves all five floors. It suits couples and solo travellers who want independence, a pool and the old town's cafés and seafront on the doorstep.
