Puerto de la CruzHotel Vallemar is a four-star with 171 rooms on Avenida de Colón, the seafront promenade of Puerto de la Cruz, directly opposite the Lago Martiánez seawater pools. The beach is about 300 metres away and the shops and cafés of the promenade start at the door.
The roof is the place to be, with a pool that is heated in season, a solarium, an outdoor jacuzzi and a snack restaurant, and there is a second solarium with Balinese beds on the first floor and another jacuzzi in the garden. Much of the food comes from the group's own organic farm, La Vizcaína, which also gives its name to the hotel's restaurant. Every room has a balcony and air conditioning, with garden or ocean views, and the deluxe rooms and suites can add half board with a buffet or à la carte dinner. Small pets are welcome on request.
Pets under 5 kg are accepted on request for a daily fee. Two rooms are designed to be free of electromagnetic devices. Tenerife North airport is 22 km away; transfers cost extra.
