Puerto de la CruzMeliá Costa Atlantis Tenerife is the former Sol Costa Atlantis, now carrying the Meliá name. It stands on Avenida Venezuela at the eastern end of Puerto de la Cruz, right beside the Lago Martiánez seawater pool complex and above Playa Martiánez. It is a large 4-star tower, so many rooms look out over the Atlantic and the coast.
The position is the big draw. You can walk along the promenade into the old town and the harbour, swim at Lago Martiánez or watch surfers at Playa Martiánez, and the Botanical Garden and Loro Parque are a short taxi ride away. Puerto de la Cruz is a proper Canarian town as well as a resort, with restaurants and bars that stay lively all year. It suits couples and families who want a central, sea-facing base on the north coast.
