Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife is the adults-only resort on the site of the former Parque San Antonio, in the quieter residential streets above Puerto de la Cruz. It mixes hotel rooms with residences, so you can choose between a classic hotel stay and a little more room to spread out on a longer trip. The old harbour and the seafront are about 20 minutes' walk downhill.

Puerto de la Cruz is the north coast's original resort town, with a lived-in Canarian centre, the Lago Martiánez seawater pools and the black sand of Playa Jardín. Loro Parque and the Botanical Garden are both a short taxi ride away, and Mount Teide makes an easy day trip. This one suits couples and friends who want a calm base with a real town close by, rather than a beach strip.
