Sol Puerto de la Cruz Tenerife is a 4-star from Meliá's Sol brand, standing in the western half of Puerto de la Cruz about five minutes' walk from Playa Jardín. That beach is one of the north coast's favourites: dark volcanic sand and gardens designed by César Manrique, and a promenade that leads to the fishing harbour.
From here the old town's squares, cafés and seafront are an easy stroll east, and Loro Parque is close enough for a short taxi or a walk. Puerto de la Cruz works all year, with a real local life alongside the visitors, and Mount Teide and La Orotava are within easy reach for days out.
