Flamingo Beach Mate stands right on Playa de La Pinta, the sheltered beach between Puerto Colón and Fañabé. Rooms, studios and apartments with up to three bedrooms suit everyone from couples to bigger groups, and many have views over the sea to La Gomera. Boat trips leave from Puerto Colón, about 100 metres away.
The rooms have been renovated, and the apartments come with full kitchens, so you can eat in or head out along the promenade. Two heated outdoor pools, one for children, sit beside a sea-view sun terrace with Balinese beds. The new MAGMA Spa adds a thalasso circuit for adults, and there is a gym open every day. Breakfast is a buffet on the restaurant terrace, the pool bar serves lunch and cocktails, and the lobby bar has live music several nights a week.
Private parking is limited, so book a space ahead (daily charge). Reception can arrange airport transfers with at least 48 hours' notice. Tenerife South (TFS) is about 15 minutes by car.
