Hotel Reverón Plaza bills itself as the first hotel in the south of Tenerife, and it has been welcoming guests in the heart of Los Cristianos for close to a century. It sits about 100 metres from the main beach and a few steps from the port, so the bay, the promenade and the ferries to the other islands are all on foot.

The renovated building keeps some original details. Its 43 rooms range from doubles to triples and sea-view suites, many with private balconies, and all have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Every stay is bed and breakfast, with a buffet and à la carte breakfast each morning. Up top, the rooftop has a pool, a solarium and the Amanay Sky Bar, with views over the bay at sunset, and there is a gym. It suits couples who like to eat out in town.
