Iberostar Waves Bouganville Playa is a big 4-star hotel on the San Eugenio seafront, about 20 metres from Playa de El Bobo, a calm beach of dark sand. The promenade runs past the door towards Puerto Colón one way and Playa de las Américas the other.
Families are the focus. The pools include a heated one and the Aquafun area with slides for children, and the Star Camp programme runs activities by age group, with a playground and a children's menu too. Adults can retreat to the Star Prestige area, an adults-only zone with sun terraces and hot tubs. Two restaurants, one with live cooking, plus three bars, a snack bar and a pool bar cover meals and drinks. Boards run from room only to all inclusive. It suits families who want the beach a few steps away and plenty to keep children busy.
