Hotel Rural Vilaflor is a small, simple rural hotel in Vilaflor, one of the highest villages in Spain, on the southern slopes of Mount Teide. Stone walls, a garden and a roof terrace give it a homely, village-house feel rather than anything resembling a resort, and the village plaza, church and a few bars are close by.

Vilaflor is surrounded by the Canary pines of the Corona Forestal Natural Park, and waymarked paths, including the long-distance GR-131, lead straight out into the forest. The road north climbs on into Teide National Park, while the beaches of the south coast are within a drive for a day by the sea. It suits walkers and travellers on a simple trip who care more about the setting than about facilities, and who are happy with a quiet village evening.
